The House of Perna expresses new line through vibrant colors and fluctuating music.

Amanda Perna, Creative Director of The House of Perna and former contestant on the TV series 'Project Runway', presents her new line with vibrant colors and wild patterns in combination with highly fluctuating, fast music at Style Fashion Week Los Angeles last Sunday.

Amanda Perna presents her SS16 line, entitled “Self Expression”, at Style Fashion Week Los Angeles, which marks her first showing on the West Coast. Despite being nervous about the unknown territory, she manages to keep calm and prepare a wonderful fashion show. "The Style Fashion Week team has been an incredible help in prepping for the show, as well as pulling it off," said Perna. "Style Fashion Week has been a great opportunity for The House of Perna to create a successful entry into the West Coast market."

On the runway, her models present a marvelous show of vibrant and sexy designs. Amanda emphasizes that all garments are made in the USA. She prides herself on quality, attention to detail and the fact that she designs the line's bold prints herself. She is, indeed, both the head of and creative hand behind The House of Perna.

Perna is a former contestant on ‘Project Runway’ where she experienced a high-pressure environment. She developed her strong design skills and perspective in regards to structure and color while designing for American fashion houses Oscar de la Renta and Calvin Klein. Her creativity has been the driving force all along. The House of Perna's SS16 line is filled with bold prints, bright colors and sexy, structural silhouettes. "With every collection I design, I try to blend these elements to help women look and feel their best," said Perna.

Perna's new SS16 line presented at Style Fashion Week LA is inspired by her own life, in private as well as in business. She connects beautifully flowing designs from her life in Florida with structured lines from her experiences in NYC. The life of a designer goes through many high and low stages, which is depicted in her presentation. Not only the unexpected color combinations in her line, but also the choice of music during the runway show underlines her creative idea. The music is purposefully fast. It fluctuates from high, energetic notes to rather depressing sounds and back to high again. This fluctuation depicts the cycle of a designer, when preparing the work - from love of the designs to hating them and then, ultimately, back around. The show, like Perna's artistic process, ends on high with happy, energetic notes and bright, flowy pieces.
